BRAZIL

HISTORY
Brazil is one of the oldest cocoa-producing countries. Already in the 1930s, Brazil was the world's leading cocoa producer. Following a fungal attack around 1990, its position rapidly declined. Currently, with a 6% share of global cocoa production, Brazil ranks fifth among cocoa-producing countries.
