Ryan Thompson, the executive pastry chef of the Shangri-La Hotel in London has created with his team a wonderful Christmas display. They have transformed their pastry shop into a three meters big gingerbread house in which they offer a lovely collection of sweet gifts which are at the same time sophisticated and fun. You can choose between chocolate Santa hats filled with chestnut marshmallows, Christmas trees  and chocolate sleighs filled with festive treats, funny snowmen, Christmas jigsaws, festive postcards and bags of Christmas chocolates made using their own Cacao Barry OR Noir chocolates.

On top of this Shangri-La offers some lovely must-have items like mince pies, stolen cake, spice bread, panettone and candy canes.

For afternoon tea lovers they have created a wonderful afternoon tea menu which includes a chocolate yule log made of the Shangri-La milk chocolate created at the Cacao Barry Or Noir laboratory, infused with cinnamon and made into a soft whipped ganache spread over mandarin marmalade on the top of a chocolate gluten free sponge. There is also a festive macaron filled with a Christmas pudding ganache using Cacao Barry Alto El Sol chocolate beside other pastries of the festive tea like coffee and mascarpone snowball, apple and blackcurrant mousse with pain de piece.
